Why Firefox?’ and ‘Why Windows?’–same answer?
Mozilla may be relying too much on "community" to answer the question "Why Firefox?"–a problem that Microsoft also had with its Windows business.
I have been asking the same question for the past few months myself and I have no clue why. Firefox is ok but it does not do what I want it to do, it does not scream or even come close to Google Chrome and yes I know I am a PC man but I have to say that I see no reason for going to back to Firefox at all right now or even IE. Google Chrome is so much better with its extensions lately that I have not even opened Firefox or IE for any reason at all.
The IE extension for Chrome is making my life so much easier to use that I cannot go back. Plus the fact that Chrome does not take up the space that I like that Firefox does. I have tested all browsers and have not found a browser that even comes close to Google Chrome, sorry Microsoft you are stuck here.
I have read some independent reports that IE has better security protection but come on if you have great Security software like Kapersky or something else that’s good, then security will not help for speed.
So I see that from the article that Firefox has a great community to keep Firefox going but community does not work for speed, if FF and IE would speed up their browser and support then they might have an advantage but I think within a few years that Google Chrome will surpass FF and take a big chunk out of Internet Explorer at the same time.
