Hello everyone did you run into this problem here:“Copying Prohibited”
”The broadcaster prohibits this content from being copied. You can only play this content on the same computer on which it was recorded.”

Well I think I might have figured out something that might help alleviate this problem.

Well I tried all the hot fixed and did what Microsoft wanted to change, and to avail it did not work.

This is what I did, In my household I have several boxes to connect to my DirecTV and one of the boxes that I have had no remote control so I decided to change out boxes to the older version of the DirecTV boxes just to test to see if that would get rid of the problem.

Yes it worked so far, I have been running windows media center for two weeks with the older version of the DirecTV box and have not run into the problem. I am not sure if this is the fix or not but at least I don’t have that annoying message on my windows media center anymore.

The boxes that I switched from was “ The new Version was a DirecTV Receiver Model #10 to the old model Hughes style box. I am not sure if this is the cure all but for now it is working.

Maybe in some households you can switch out boxes from different room and see if that works but for me it is working the way I want and don’t see the message anymore…
