Social Networking: The failures of Connecting
Well here we go with another way that social networking is failing to put together everyone in one place. I have seen some great articles by zdnet this past week. I do have to say that with Google Buzz joining the mix it is even harder to keep up with all the social networking especially if you write blogs and have a business on the net.
How in the world can we all keep up with every social networking sites, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, WordPress Blog, Ning, and many other social networking that everyone has their favorite. BTW these are the sites that I use for my blogs and updating. I have to say that it is a chore to keep up with these application that I have been using lately, I have to use Tweetdeck to update my twitter accounts and update my MySpace and update Facebook.
Then as with many others I used twitter feed for a while and that would not update to my twitter accounts or facebook accounts when I posted a new blog post. So now I use feedburner new social connect to update twitter with my new blog post that I do. Now check this out, if I want to update Facebook I have to use Hootsuite to update when I post a new blog post. Why does this have to be so hard, do i have to build a new program to do all this, I think I might have too.
I want to build a program that will update my twitter accounts, update my blog post when I post a blog post and then have that all post to each different social networking site that I choose if I am signed up. I think that’s about it for now. In the end we want to be able to have everything in one place, like I can do for email, I have all my emails coming to my outlook and then all my feeds going to Google reader and that’s how it should be one program to be able to do what you need to do some great social networking.
