Something a woman said while she was being arrested ended up shutting down Loop 820 for several hours Saturday evening, the FBI said. The feds said they’re familiar with this woman and she has done something like this before.

Authorities said this all started in Arlington Saturday afternoon when someone on State Highway 360 called 911 to tell them a person in another car had pointed a gun at them—apparently in some sort of road rage situation.

Arlington police officers said they quickly located a car matching the description from the 911 caller and tried to pull the driver over.

That’s when police said the driver lead them on a chase through Arlington and into Fort Worth. That chase ended when the driver spun out near Loop 820 and Lancaster Avenue.

Authorities quickly moved in and arrested the male driver and his female passenger. While the woman was being detained, police said she told them there was some sort of incendiary device in the vehicle.

As a precaution, officials shut down the southbound lanes of Loop 820 while the bomb squad came in to check the vehicle.

A source with the FBI said, while they can’t release the names of the suspects at this time, the woman who made the threat is one of two women involved in an incident at Love Field some time ago. That threat was unfounded.
