Yes I am one of the ones that has problems with getting on the net or checking my twitter on my blackberry and its driving me nuts I hope they have fixed soon!

EXCLUSIVE – Today’s December 22 BlackBerry outage, a RIM outage takingBlackberry down and BBM, is confirmed. The BlackBerry outage of December 22 was broke exclusively first by LALATE roughly 4 1/2 hours ago.

Now RIM confirms the outage to PCMag:

“Some BlackBerry customers in the Americas are experiencing delays inmessage delivery. Technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue for those impacted. RIM apologizes for any inconvenience experienced by customers.”

Shortly after 6 pm, LALATE first broke the national BlackBerry outage following heightened activity on Twitter. BBM and the BlackBerry national outage began Twitter trending early evening Tuesday.

Now as of 10:30 PM PST, the outage is still affecting end users. Within the last half hour, users have retreated that original LALATE article while others continue to confirm experienced personal outages still late tonight.

One LALATE reader writes the following about the scope of the outage:

Others feel the timing of the outage during this holiday season is exceptionally frustrating. One reader writes on LALATE:

When BBM is the only form of connection I have with my fiance whom is in the army and over in germany it is a big deal to me that its out… if im paying 190 a month to talk to him I should have to deal with outages.

As broke first on LALATE just after sunset on the west coast, users complained of outages across Sprint and T Mobile, only to learn the problem was global.
