Woman Killed in Motorcycle Race
DALLAS – A woman died after she was thrown from a motorcycle that crashed during a race down a Dallas freeway, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department says.
Witnesses say two motorcycles were speeding southbound on I-35E when one of them crashed into the guardrail just south of Colorado Boulevard.
The male driver and his female passenger, both who seem to be in their early 20s, came off the bike and landed on the freeway.
The woman, whose name has not yet been released, died at the scene.
The driver, 21-year-old Eric Delgado, was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in stable condition. The Sheriff’s Department believes he may have been driving under the influence and are conducting a blood test.
Delgado will likely face charges in this case.
The other motorcycle rider disappeared and detectives are working on tracking him down.
