DALLAS – A bank robber shot and killed an armored car guard who was refilling a cash machine at a west Oak Cliff bank Friday morning.

The robbery happened at 9:40 a.m. at the Chase Bank in the 2500 block of Fort Worth Avenue at Bahama Drive, between between Hampton Road and Westmoreland Road.

Two Brinks guards were working out of their armored truck when the gunman approached, police said.

A witness told FOX 4 news that he heard six gunshots, which he at first thought came from a nearby construction site.

Then he saw two men fleeing the area in a white vehicle.

Police are looking for a white Honda Prelude with an upside-down license plate.
