Google users unable to access Gmail
This is why I am getting away from Google Gmail and other services, and just using basic services that they offer, Google alerts and a few other things, I have moved all my email to my own server where I up at 99.95% of the time and never have to worry about not getting a email, cloud computing seems cool but for email and business stuff, I cannot trust GMAIL anymore.
Google’s e-mail service, Gmail, was down much of today for "a majority" of its millions of users, although Google said on its site around 1 p.m. PT that "service has already been restored for some users," and is on its way to being resolved.
By around 2:30 p.m. PT, e-mail service was starting to return to normal, according to Google engineering director David Besbris.
"We’ve fixed the issue, and Gmail should be back up and running as usual," he wrote on the company’s blog. "We’re still investigating the root cause of this outage, and we’ll share more information soon. Thanks for bearing with us.
"We know many of you are having trouble accessing Gmail right now — we are too, and we definitely feel your pain. We don’t usually post about minor issues here … Because this is impacting so many of you, we wanted to let you know we’re currently looking into the issue and hope to have more info to share here shortly …
