Cop Fired for Egging House
CARROLLTON – A North Texas police officer, along with three police dispatchers, was fired this month for allegedly throwing eggs at a citizen’s home.
Carrollton police officer Jennifer Cackler was fired Wednesday after two years of service with the department.
Her sister, Ashley Cackler, was a dispatcher for four months in the Dallas suburb. Ashley was terminated with dispatchers Laura Anderson and Laken Shifelbein earlier this month.
Carrollton police say the four, along with a fifth person who is not a city employee, threw at least a dozen eggs at a resident’s home on May 9.
The crime is considered a Class C misdemeanor, the equivalent to a traffic offense.
The Dallas Morning News says the group may have been retaliating against the resident because he constantly complained to the police about a neighbor.
All of the suspects were given citations.
