FORT WORTH – A 17-year-old boy is recovering from a gunshot wound delivered by a robber who apparently was angry that the boy didn’t have any money.

Officers say the suspect asked the teen for cash in front of the Taj Mahal Apartments in the 5200 block of Camp Bowie Blvd.

But when the youngster said he didn’t have any money, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the boy in the leg.

The teen’s mother drove him to Baylor Surgical Center. His condition is not known.
